Google Analytics 4 guide
In this section we'll take you through how to work with the Google Analytics 4 data source and how you can customize your widgets to get your most important metrics on your dashboard
Add a widget and select Google Analytics 4 from the data sources list and hit ‘Connect via Google Analytics’. In order to access your Google Analytics 4 data in Geckoboard your account will need to have Viewer, Editor or Administrator permissions.
It’s worth noting that data in Google Analytics 4 has a 5 hour delay unless you have a Google Analytics 4 360 account (then it has a 1 hour delay) so it’s not possible to report real-time metrics at present. More details from Google here.If you have multiple websites you’re tracking with Google Analytics and you’d like to share data from another, simply add another account with the following steps.
As well as the preconfigured options you’ll see when you go to add a new Google Analytics 4 widget, there are many ways you can adapt your data so it shows exactly what you’re looking for.
Change property, the metric you’re tracking, the visualization type, apply a different time frame, and add filters to break out specific data such as source, page, device, conversion events and more.

Adding your events to your dashboard
As the events you track are determined by you within Google Analytics, you won’t find them in our pre-set list of metrics. You’ll need to apply filters to your widgets in order to see these within Geckoboard.
